Requirements
Within the CUG target-group specific information and services are made available by the exhibitors for the particular fair. For example exhibitors can order advertising material and guest tickets (personal invitation to the fair) or publish electronic press articles or other reports about fair novelties on-line.
Solutions
Developing a universally applicable and flexible database. With a distinct separation of frontend design from the application logic, the possibility arose for it to be applied to miscellaneous fair events.
Technology
The application was developed in JSP and Velocity. Application logic and database access was implemented using Java classes. The system was based on a Oracle 8i/9i database.
